Go Bokke Go!

Our country has been bitten by the Rugby bug! Yes, we've always been rather susceptible to this nu-nu(little creature), but this time round we've got the Rugby Fever in a big way!

What am I rambling on about?..... Well, it's the Rugby World Cup! And South Africa has made it through to the finals! Yippeeeeee!I do realise that many of my American readers might not know what Rugby is, so here is a link to our team ........... The Springboks. We love to call them "THE BOKKE" or "OUR BOYS".

Last Sunday night, the kids stayed up late with us to watch the Semi Finals. S.Africa vs Argentina. We won..... but there were a few nail-biting moments!

All the excitement was just too much for a couple of younger family members!!!!

GO BOKKE....... BRING HOME THE TROPHY!

For the life of me ..........

......... I have no idea of what to write about. No funny stories to re-tell and no major experiences to share about. It's not that my life is dull and uneventful, it's just that sometimes I get 'bloggers block!' Ever had this? During the day I often think 'Oooh that will make an interesting posting.' But those moments elude me when I sit down to share with the world!

Ahhhh ! Something has re-entered my grey matter. We finished our American History Curriculum for the year. So all you American gals .......... test me......... bring it on! teehee. Not being American, I wasn't too sure if I would enjoy teaching this Sonlight year. I was pleasantly surprised. It's been our best year yet!

I can't do a post without some pics, so I selected a couple of recent pics. Have a great weekend. I will be watching South Africa vs Argentina in the Rugby World Cup tomorrow!

Our little PinkStink!

TanziPanzi doing a ballet move in her new princess dress. Personally, I think she looks a bit like one of those dolly toilet roll holders my granny used to crochet! But she feels like a million dollars in it and that's all that matters.

**************

Today she made us laugh in school. While doing her puzzle she would let out an "uggghh"and numerous other sounds of frustration. I eventually asked her "What's your problem noo-noo?"............ "My puzzle's fighting with me Momma!"

Chef CoolDude

Every Thursday CoolDude takes it upon himself to make hamburgers for the family! This week our eldest, WizzKid, decided he wanted to be a part of this picture!

CoolDude remained Chief chef, and WizzKid learned to butter rolls very well!!!

We experience God's protection.

This morning we got two big frights! Both involved my beautiful Tanzi........ seen below modelling her choice of clothing for the day! She cracks us up daily!

Every morning the boys rush through to the kitchen to feed our kitten Dash, so that they can get back in bed for a few more minutes of shut eye. He miaows madly until this is done.
This morning I heard this conversation.......

Tanzi :"It's in my nose!"
WizzKid :"What's in your nose?
Tanzi : "Cat food is in my nose!"

I woke up abruptly, grabbed her and proceeded to have a snoop down her nostrils.
I couldn't see anything. She gave a sneeze, another sneeze, and on the third sneeze, a kitty nugget shot right out her nose and landed on her chin! *relief*. We laughed and laughed!

Our second fright, was alot more serious. As Hubby was leaving for work, Tanzi ran outside and behind Hubby's car as he was reversing out of the garage. The car knocked her too the ground, the boys screamed, Hubby stopped, WizzKid picked her up quickly, I ran out side screaming,......... she had grazes on her body, but she was okay! As I lay her down on my bed I couldn't stop thanking Jesus for her protection. I shook for a while afterwards.

I feel blessed that Tanzi was protected and that we as a family did not have to go through terrible heartache.
Thank you Jesus for Tanzi's protection!

Here are a few pics of our new home. The Estate Agents/Realtors sent us these.

I am SO excited!
The area ,Hillcrest, that we are moving to is a very green and leafy suburb. Everytime I think of my new home, I want to burst out singing John Denvers very old song "Take me home, country road, to the place where I belong.......".

Momma's a hit!

If I start to reminisce about my childhood, the happy moments come to mind. I can't say I remember alot, but there are some! Hubby on the other hand remembers having loads of fun, alot of the time. His Mom has always been so lively, energetic and a great tease!! She has the knack of making a mundane task into an exciting adventure! Hubby has that same gift but I have to work very hard at having fun. It does not come easily to me!

One of my favourites is to have dinner under the table! I usually spring it on them, and plan it when Hubby is away! I wander why? teehee...... On Tuesday night, when Hubby was out of town, we had a picnic on the lounge floor and watched the old movie... "Look who's talking". My kids were over the moon!

I want my kids to remember having oooooodles of fun with their Momma!

PS......... I did clean the carpet before we settled beneath the dining table!!!!!!! Give this a try, your kids will be shocked that you even suggested such a thing!
