Seductive & Productive!

When MrGee comes home from a trip(especially an overseas one), he always returns with such thoughtful gifts for the kids and I. Being a non-working SAHM(Stay At Home Mom), I used to feel guilty that I was not able to reciprocate in the gift giving arena. It made me wonder how I could be a blessing to him in my own special way.
So.................................

  • I always welcome him home looking as gorgeous as I possibly can! (hehehe )
  • A roast(his absolute favourite) is lovingly prepared with all the extra trimmings.
  • And I make sure his study/office is neat and well organised.

CoolDude helped me with the final touches to MrGee's study.

TanziPanzi decorated the walls with her art work. After hanging her masterpieces, she stood back and declared...... "Yip that's good, but Dad looks like a pig!" (Refering to the pig's snout she drew between his eyes.)

I know MrGee was impressed with his welcome home! So you see ladies, men aren't that hard to please..............

  • Just delight their eyes
  • Satisfy their tummies
  • Try being a little productive!

Glad to see the back of this week.......

Wow...... this week has been a busy and difficult one! The boy's school had 3 days of athletic events. WizzKid did very well. He achieved second place in the 1200m and third place in the High Jump and the 800m. He can barely walk now!
MrGee has been away so that has made it alot harder...... I definitely cope better with the emotional support of Hubby ......they bring the balance don't they? I missed him terribly this time. But, he's back tomorrow, so the smile on my face is beginning to broaden!
I thought I would leave you with a couple of pics of Tanzi on the cell phone to her boyfriend Asher.(play-play)

It's all so exciting!

As I post this, my hubby (MrGee) is being shown around Cummings in the Forsyth County of Georgia. He is checking out a couple of the suburbs. I did mention to him about a dozen times to take many pics, So I hope to get feed back very soon!
He was SO impressed with Atlanta. His words to me were...... " It's so clean and organised, and everything works!" Coming from Africa, this is an important factor, as things don't work very well here!

She loved her week holiday!

A little over a month ago MrGee bought me a parrot. I named her Sweet-Pea. Oh how I adored her. She loved to sit on my shoulder, cuddle and hide under my hair. She would nibble my ear and kiss me on the cheek. THEN..... one day she bit me so hard on the finger. I was mortified and a little scared to interact with her after that!
About a week after the biting incident, my Mom and Dad came to stay. My Dad seemed to take to Sweet-Pea, so I suggested they have her. A week later we delivered Sweet-Pea to my parents.

Sweet-Pea ....... became a "he" called Sweetie!
All was well for the first couple of days. She(I mean He) was bought a snazzy ladder and a zooty hide swing. I think he was spoilt rotten. It seems Grandparents don't just do that with grandchildren!! But as my parents soon found out, this bird was one demanding chick!!!!

So..... today after a wonderful holiday with the Grandparents, Sweet-Pea returned home. I realise now that I had missed her loud sqwaaks and funny little noises!

Yes, I will try again. But this time I will be armed with a well padded leather glove!

Coming to America .......

MrGee leaves for New York today. He is hoping to visit Atlanta to get a feel of this state. We have done a little research, and we like the look of Lake Allatoona.
Cummings could be an option. Have any of you blogging girls visited this area? Any advice about Georgia and settling there? We will be homeschooling so schools are not a worry. WizzKid is a good swimmer so we would need to be near a professional swimming facility. CoolDude loves his tennis so we would need to be close to a good tennis club, and Tanzi is a budding gymnast so having those facilities near by would be great too!
Any advice?

(BTW....... It's official........ We will be returning to homeschooling in Jan 2009. Both WizzKid and CoolDude will be returning home and they are thrilled! MrGee and I are very excited about it too!)

She Does Hair .......

About a week ago I came across a wonderful blog owned by a very clever mom called BlackEyedSue. Her space on the blogasphere -SHE DOES HAIR- is predominately dedicated to the creation of beautiful hairstyles for the girly-girl. She is SO creative and I am so inspired!
Photobucket
Twinkle loves the finished look, but keeping her still during the process(30 -40 mins) has proved to be quite something!
